Bark: Used as an astringent. Seed: Oil used to treat rheumatism.

Bark—anthelmintic, antidiarrhoeal.
Seed oil—antirheumatic.
Bark and seed oil— antileprotic, used for ulcers and piles. A decoction of the bark powder is given with honey as a vermifuge.
